Third Axis was founded by John Harrison in 2003. The following year, he negotiated the sale of InnovativeTeachers.com - an online education content and networking portal run by Third Axis - to Microsoft.

In 2005, John entered into a joint venture with the co-founders of ASOS (LON:ASC), the UK’s fastest growing and most successful online fashion plc, and founded YourSchoolUniform.com – an online retail platform manufacturing and shipping personalised school uniform products to both schools and parents.

Throughout his time as CEO*, YSU grew to a £multi-million revenue business, employing over 30 staff. This was acquired by OTTO, the world’s 2nd largest e-Retailer, in 2009.

In 2010, having held talks with a number of high profile retailers, ThirdAxis built the uniform embroidery service in partnership with Tesco (LON:TSCO). The service - providing best value for parents, 5% cash-back to schools as well as free delivery - is on its way to achieving our goal: to revolutionise and overhaul an old-fashioned and staid clothing sector.

In 2011, John founded ScanMe.com. Capitalising on the rapid growth of smartphone barcode scanning, ScanMe brings QR barcoding to the masses. Providing free social connecting, product personalisation and SME marketing tools, ScanMe was ranked #1 website of choice by UK Channel 5's 'The Gadget show' and has thousands of active accounts.

2012 saw ThirdAxis launch Schoople - an online portal dedicated to helping schools save or raise funds. Schoople has already attracted thousands of schools, making it already the fastest growing school network in the UK.
